MAID RULES

Setup

  1. Place a large cup in the center of the table.

  2. Shuffle the deck and deal all cards evenly around the table.

    • It does not matter if some players have more cards than others.

Preparing Hands

  1. Each player checks their hand and places all matching pairs face up in front of them.

  2. If a player has 3 of the same card, they only place down 2 and keep 1.

  3. Any time a player places down a pair of Maids, they must pour some of their drink into the center cup.

Gameplay

  1. The dealer starts by offering their hand face down to the player on their left.

  2. That player draws 1 card from the dealer’s hand.

  3. If the drawn card creates a pair, the player immediately places the pair down.

  4. If the pair is a pair of Maids, the player adds some of their drink to the center cup.

  5. if the paired card has a action written on the card the players must complete that action the last to complete the action must drink.

  6. The player then offers their own hand face down to the player on their left.

  7. Play continues clockwise in the same way.

The game continues until every card has been paired except for a singular remaining Maid card.

Actions

3 is Thumb: Place your thumb on the table

5 is Ear: Grab your ear

7 is Heaven: Raise your arms in the air

9 is Floor: Reach down towards the ground

King is Nose: Touch your nose

Ace is everyone: Everyone must drink

Losing the Game

  • The player left holding the final Maid:

    1. Adds some of their drink to the center cup.

    2. Must drink the entire center cup.
